How Do I Clean My Makeup Brushes

Hello friends!:) I'm so happy that I find time to write again. I know it's my blog anniversary month yet I just posted few since the first day of February. I'm still not that good on time management especially if my work changes it's shift every week. Hehe.. Anyhoo, I don't have work today so I decided to clean my makeup buddies- makeup brushes.

Makeup brushes are our best friends to a flawless finish makeup look! Right? But they are also our number one enemies for skin irritations and breakouts! Yes? So using it daily means harboring dirt and other bacteria that can breakout our skin. Lets make it a habit to clean our makeup brushes! Believe me, the feeling of applying makeup using a freshly cleaned tools is heaven!:) HAHA!!

I don't have those brush cleanser, so I just used shampoo, baby oil, clean water, lots of paper towel and a spray bottle with water. Though this takes time, I don't mind! HAHA!! Just make sure to rinse it thoroughly and squeeze extra water before hanging it!:)

It's nice if you use brush guards, btw. But since I don't have it. I just leave it just like this!:)
All I need is a hanger with lots of clips and a rubber band!:) I just let it dry over night.

who says hanger with clips are just used to hang undies? LOL!:p

For me, the best way to dry makeup brushes is hanging it upside down so that water will not go directly to the wooden handles which will eventually loosen up the glue that holds the hairs of your brush! So you will end up with a bleeding brush!:( I love the feeling seeing my freshly cleaned brushes hanging and ready to use the next day!:)

REVIEW: Leyende Clean Slate Multi-Task Cleanser

Hello friends!:) Before anything else, I just want to say sorry for being MIA for this month. I promise to back on daily blogging  (or every other day blogging) as soon as possible. Hihi.. Anyhoo, tonight I want to share with you my thoughts and experience about Leyende Clean Slate Multi-task cleanser. I got this from my Sample Room last month. See haul here.

To quote Sample Room's product description:

Okay.. now let me share my experience using this product. Let me talk about the packaging first. I really like the lotion-like packaging, it's really convenient to use. The bottle looks sturdy, and what I really like about it's packaging is that it comes with a pump. It's not messy to use and pro-hygiene!:)

Using this product is easy. It's like applying lotion on face. It comes with a creamy texture that's why it's easy to massage on your face to remove makeup and dirt. It's actually my first time to use this type of cleanser and yes it really does removes dirt and makeup. What I like the most is that even I put some on my eye area, it doesn't irritate my eyes. I also love the fact that it can remove waterproof mascara! Well you just need to massage the area first and wipe. It depends of how many layer of mascarra you're about to remove. I sometimes do it 2x to remove the product thoroughly. So far, I've been using this to remove my makeup after work. One more thing, I like the feeling of a supple smooth skin without the feeling of greasiness. What bothers me a lot is the smell. It's too strong for me. I would love to smell a green tea-ish scent. :)

I tested this product with the following products:

Liquid Foundation

Liquid Eyeliner

Eye Pencil

Waterproof Mascarra

Matte Lipstick

A pea size amount of product is enough to remove almost all the product tested except the waterproof mascarra.

As you can see on the 8th photo, my skin is kinda red right? I put extra effort removing the product. HAHAHA!! Don't worry. Removing waterproof mascarra on your lashes is not that hard. Hihihi..

Repurchase it again? I think I will try other products for now. Not unless they change the scent of this product, I might go back!:)

Now that you have read all the benefits this product claims, let me share with you my experience with this organic liquid foundation.

This is my first time to use Krave's liquid foundation. Thanks to Rjai, the owner of Jailex Couture for sending me this and another krave product for me try out. Thanks sis!:) The shade she sent me did not match my skin tone, but ofcourse for the benefit of experiencing the most raved organic foundie, I used it. LOL! I opt to post a picture cause I really look like different. Hahaha! 

The shade I got is Cassata, I think this is the darkest shade. It comes in a squeeze plastic tube, labeled by a sticker placed on it. Personally, I would love to use liquid foundations that comes in a pump bottle. What bothers me with the packaging is that it comes with a big opening hole where in the product can be easily spilled since the consistency of it is watery. Making the hole a little smaller or much better placing it in a pump bottle is great and can minimize spillage of the product. 

As what I have said, this foundie has it's watery consistency, so for you to get the desired color of the product, be sure to shake the bottle well before using. Application is not that hard. You just need to put a little product at a time for you to blend it really well on your skin. It has matte finish which I think suits for oily skin like me. I love how it makes me look radiant hence the matte effect it gives. It gives light to medium coverage. The time I used this product, I just used one layer and I'm fine with it. 

See how dark it is? Hahaha! For now, I'm using it in contouring and I love it!:) It gives me a natural looking contoured face!:)

PROS:

-Perfect for daily use.

-Organic, getting a lot of benefits in just one product.

-No disturbing smell

-It gives radiant glow hence the matte finish it gives.

-Perfect for oily combination skin

-Easily absorbed by the skin

-Easy to remove

-Easily available online on any Krave Distributors like: Vanity by: Jailex Couture (For those who love online shopping)

CONS:

-Packaging. 

-Limited shade available

-Too bad the shade did not match my skin tone. But I discovered how effective it is when used as a contouring product. (Cons ba talaga or Pros? LOL)

-Available only online (For those who's not into online shopping and for those who like trying it first before 

buying.)

Will I buy this product again? Yes, but in different shade! HAHA!:)
